An active project is one that’s currently in progress in your studio. Once a project ships and you archive it, the slot opens up for the next one. Archived projects stay readable forever — you can pull a spec from a job you finished three years ago without paying to keep it around.
Per-seat pricing punishes you for adding the people who should be on the file — the junior designer, the PM, the client. We’d rather you spec faster with the whole team on it, and we’ll trust you to upgrade when you’re running more projects in parallel.
No. The Free plan is forever and never asks. Studio (30-day) and Studio Pro (60-day) trials don’t ask for a card up front either — we’ll email you a few days before the trial ends, and you can choose to upgrade or drop down to Free.
Up, down, monthly, annual — any direction, any time. Upgrades are prorated. Downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing period.
Nothing breaks and no surprise charges. You’ll see a banner asking you to archive a project or upgrade. Existing project data stays intact while you decide.
